Pareto’s Law can be summarized as follows: 80% of the outputs result from 20% of the inputs.

My Approach To Automation, Optimaization & Productivety

After 10 years working in various different industries, from construction, to customer service, business development and sales. One thing I have come to realize is every business and human input should be getting easier, not harder with the advances in technology, AI and robotics.

Pretty much anything outside of human creativity, personal relationships and complex hands on tasks can either be automated to a degree or optimized for ultimate productivity. I like to take a outsiders approach and question everything. Sometimes we all get stuck in the weeds and become oblivious to better ways of doing things.

There are over 10 different types of Cognitive Biases, I like to keep this in mind when I approach a problem. Unlike the worlds most complex system, the human brain, computers and hard data do not lie. It is for this reason, I believe we should strive to automate or optimize as many tedious tasks as possible to free our minds and our time to be spent on the most personally gratifying experience we can find.

About me

I am Sam Barnes, a 30 y.o Australian. I left school early as I had difficulty paying attention to subjects that seemed unimportant in the real world. I spent 6 years in construction but left to explore the world not long after attaining my Plumbing License.

I don’t think there is anything more positive than global travel experiences. From forcing yourself to learn the local lingo, to learning how different cultures have differing opinions on what might be knows as common knowledge in your home town.

Travel and Working Abroad has sculpted me as a person. I question just about anything and I love to learn. I have gained experience in Customer Service through working at Shopify in Canada, I have managed Sales Teams in Spain and even had a stint helping start a tour business in Las Vegas! I have been subconsciously picking up nuggets of information along the way and am excited to start implementing some of the lessons I have learnt along the way.
