12 Week Year Paperback

The 12 Week Year – Book Review

Overview

Very motivating book that made some key points that I can relate to falling victim to. Mainly putting so much emphasis on the new year. The early points in the book reminded me of building industry especially. The weeks leading up to the end of the year, tradesmen work like crazy to get things done, just to beat the phycological day of 31st of December.

Key Takeaways

  1. New years resolutions usually fail because the time is too long. We spend most of the year putting the goals back as we have many more months to achieve them.
  2. Why not take the goals we set for 12 months and try to achieve them in 12 weeks.
  3. The goals set for each 12 week block should be focused and reviewed daily to make sure our actions are helping us move towards them
